Welcome to Leixlip Town Twinning Association Leixlip has been twinned with the French town of Bressuire since October 1996 and with the American town of Niles since 1999. Twinning is about bringing people together and developing partnerships between towns of other nations. It creates opportunities for citizens of member towns to experience and explore other cultures. It creates an atmosphere for economic development and trade opportunities. It stimulates an environment in which problems can be resolved on a person-to-person basis and breaks down cultural and social barriers. On a practical level twinned towns can link Chambers of Commerce, facilitate student job placement, hold cultural events, and exhibitions, run summer camps and sporting events, link web sites, exchange knowledge on how their towns operate, bring citizen of all age groups together. In short as long as there are people with ideas the list is endless. Twinning is for everyone both young and old!

The Leixlip St Patrick's Day organising committee are very pleased to announce the return of the local parade which will start on St Patrick's Day from the Green Lane Schools at 1pm. Leixlip Town Twinning Association AGM will take place- our first since 2020-in the Springfield Hotel on Tuesday 29th March at 8pm Members of the Public welcome to attend.
